Baby Adam and Durango in Rainbow Country

Baby Adam played quietly by the big window in Mommy’s office. Mommy and Daddy were both very sad.

Sunshine walked from room to room. Baby Adam petted her on the nose when she came over to him. Adam spoke dog, of course, and cat and fish for that matter. Just like all babies do. Sunshine asked if he had seen her old friend Durango. He had seemed very tired and she wanted to check on how he was feeling.

Adam told her that he didn’t know but maybe his friend the Rainbow could help.

Sunshine sat down beside Adam and they waited as the storm outside blew by.

The rain was pretty as it danced in the trees and gave the flowers a bath.

Sunbeams streamed through the trees as the wind blew holes in the clouds above their house. Then Adam and Sunshine could see the first rays of his friend coming towards the window. It was faint at first, and then Adam and Sunshine stepped across to a road leading off into the clouds.

Adam looked back and waved at Mommy and Daddy and then he and Sunshine were racing along the Rainbow Bridge. It was not a long trip this time. The land of the Rainbow Bridge is not really very far away from the rest of us–it’s just hard to see.
